About Me

I’m Megha, and I’m here to help you uncover the roadmap of your life.

I am a trauma-informed therapist with a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology and professional registration with the BCACC. (RCC #21059.)

Hello and Welcome

I hold the roles of therapist, wife, mother, sister, and daughter. Above all else, I am a human being. I believe that we can all benefit from learning how to hold space, forgive, and love ourselves. I moved to Canada with my family from India with my husband and daughter when I was young and am a first generation Canadian. I have always been passionate about helping others and supporting them along their healing journey.

I am a BC-based trauma therapist who works with both individuals and couples. I have worked in the healthcare industry for over 10 years in combined community mental health, mental health organizations, family practice support, and private practice. I believe that everyone is capable of making a change in their life, on their own time, and at their own pace.

As someone who has experienced mental health challenges myself, I understand how important it is to have a warm and welcoming approach to therapy. Having this safe place to explore is key in learning to effectively cope, adapt, and change.

I have worked in the healthcare industry for over 10 years in combined community mental health, mental health organizations, disability management, and private practice. As someone who has experienced mental health challenges myself, I understand how important it is to have a warm and welcoming approach to therapy. Having this safe place to explore is key in learning to effectively cope, adapt, and change.

My approach is holistic, collaborative, strengths-based, creative and compassionate and I strive to provide a respectful and caring therapeutic relationship, which I believe is foundational to transformation and change. In my practice, I integrate a range of modalities and theories that support emotional intelligence and regulation, self-compassion, acceptance, effective communication, healthy coping skills, body awareness, nervous system regulation, and self-expression. I also believe it is important for me to consider your context; your culture, history, and the systems and environmental/social conditions that exist around you, because they can often influence or impact one’s wellbeing.

I look forward to welcoming you into a safe, shared space where we can get curious, gently explore, experiment with new behaviours, facilitate change and find hope.

My Core Values

Therapeutic Approach

I believe that there is no “one size fits all” approach to therapy because each individual is different and requires a tailored approach to their healing journey. I take the time to truly listen and understand my clients, learn about their experiences, emotions, and needs. I will not push any framework onto you, and instead strive to create a safe and supportive environment where my clients feel heard, validated, and empowered.

Drawing from a diverse range of therapeutic modalities, I work collaboratively with each person to co-create a customized treatment plan that addresses their specific needs and goals. Below are a few modalities I use with my clients in therapy.

  • Trauma Informed
  • Mindfulness
  • Attachment-Based
  • Internal Family Systems
  • EMDR
  • Psychodynamic Based
  • Emotion Focused
  • Solution Focused
